TIRANA, February 26 – Five years after the meeting of July 3, 2018, the two governments of Albania and Montenegro will hold a joint meeting in Podgorica on Monday.
The activity will start with the welcome ceremony and the presentation of the two delegations at 10:30 to be followed by the signing of 10 agreements and memoranda between the two government cabinets.
One of the important agreements is the that on the opening of the joint border point Saint Nicholas – Pulaj, in the territory of Albania, as well as the agreement in the areas of maintenance and joint management of fisheries in Shkodra Lake and the Buna River.
It is announced that other agreements will be signed in the fields of energy, defense, health, agriculture, social protection, as well as education and sports.
This is the second meeting that takes place between the governments of the two countries, and comes after the meeting of the two prime ministers in Ohrid last year, where Rama and Abazovic discussed the joint construction project of the Buna river bridge.
This issue will be part of the discussion between the parties, but also during the joint press conference where the two parties will present concrete projects to turn the Buna River into a tourist attraction and navigable space for yachts and ships. /Argumentum.al
