TIRANA, May 20 – The next meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo will take place on June 14 in Gjakova. According to RTSH, the joint meeting has been agreed to be held in the middle of June in the city of Gjakova due to a symbolism related to this date.
June 14 is celebrated by the citizens of Gjakova as the day of the liberation of the historic city and is commemorated to honor the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives in the war for the liberation of Kosovo.
Preparations for this meeting between the two governments have begun. On June 14, the two governments will sit together in their ninth meeting to try to advance the cooperation between the two states of the same nationality.
Since January 11, 2014, when this cooperation first started, dozens of agreements have been signed.
The most important achievements are those of freedom of movement on both sides of the border, in the field of economic exchanges, in the field of electricity, in the teaching of the common primer, the joint work for the Albanian Encyclopedic Dictionary and the History of Albanians.
