TIRANA, April 27 – The report for the last six months about the developments in Kosovo was presented to the Security Council on behalf of the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, by the head of the UNMIK Mission, Caroline Ziadeh.
She demanded courageous actions from the parties to implement in practice all the points of the Ohrid agreement. Russia, which currently holds the presidency of the UN Security Council, intended not to give Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla the opportunity to speak at the session, which was opposed by other members of this organization.
In her speech in English, Gërvalla said that she was not allowed to speak in her native language, Albanian. According to the Kosovar chief diplomat, Russian Wagner military forces are operating in Serbia, aiming not only to destabilize Kosovo.
Serbian Chief Diplomat Ivica Dacic said that Pristina’s goal is to erase the Serbian identity and expel his compatriots from their homes. The union of Serbian municipalities in the north should be formed immediately by Kosovo, the Serbian Foreign Minister said, adding that without such a thing there is no continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. /Argumentum.al
