Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa said on Tuesday that political parties will convene next week to discuss election of new president after Hashim Thaci resigned from this position following confirmation of the war crime charges by the Hague-based special court.
Mustafa said as quoted by local media in Pristina that the new president should be elected without holding early elections.
The LDK chairmanship will be convened at the beginning of December to discuss this issue, Mustafa said adding that he as the LDK leader in ruling coalition has not proposed any candidate for president.
“We have not discussed this issue, but we believe the president should be elected as soon as possible, and not go to new elections,” Mustafa told the media.
