TIRANA, July 1 – Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti does not see PM Edi Rama’s proposal for an international conference where Pristina’s government head and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic sit until an agreement is reached as a solution.
In a statement to the media on Saturday, asked specifically about the proposal of the Albanian prime minister, supported by the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, Kurti said it is unnecessary, since according to him the foundations were laid in the two meetings of February and March in Brussels and Ohrid.
“We have had international conferences in the past and now we have a basic agreement, from February 27 of this year, in Brussels and also from March 18 in Ohrid with the implementation annex. All that needs to be done is to unconditionally implement that basic agreement in its entirety and in a fair and balanced manner. This must be done and we committed to this in Brussels in the meetings we have had,” said Kurti.
In addition to French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Rama presented his proposal at the beginning of this week in Brussels in all the meetings he held with the heads of the Council of the European Commission. /argumentum.al
