TIRANA, April 28 – The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met on Friday with the special representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak. The meeting took place in Athens, where Prime Minister Kurti is participating in the annual Economic Forum of Delphi, which is organized under the patronage of the President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
In a press release from the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, it is said that Kurti and Lajcak discussed the next meeting to be held in Brussels on May 2, where, as part of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, the Prime Minister of Kosovo will meet with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
The meeting also touched upon the accords agreed between the parties on February 27 in Brussels and March 18 in Ohrid.
“Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the Basic Agreement must be implemented in full, without delays and without conditions,” said the communiqué of the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, quoted by REL.
It was also emphasized that Kurti talked with Lajçak about the elections that were held last weekend (April 23) in the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, as well as about the importance of ensuring the normal functioning of state institutions in the service of citizens.
Earlier, on Friday, April 28, the spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, confirmed that the agenda of the new high-level dialogue meeting between the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia on May 2 will be the adoption of the Declaration for the missing and the first draft of the statute for the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority will be presented.
The leaders of both countries, Kurti and Vucic, have confirmed their participation in the May 2 meeting. /Argumentum.al
