TIRANA, October 7 – The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has not ruled out the possibility of future acts of aggression by Serbia against Kosovo. In an interview for Sky News released on Saturday, he said that Kosovo must be prepared so that Serbia’s aggressions fail again.
“They wanted to start a new war because they wanted to destabilize Kosovo. This act of aggression represents a violation of our territorial integrity, state sovereignty and national security,” said Kurti.
Speaking about the act of aggression in Banjska of Zveçan, northern Kosovo, the head of the Government of Kosovo stressed that through a military-police formation Serbia tried to destabilize Kosovo, but failed.
“They tried to destabilize our country and failed, will they try again? I can’t say for sure, but their political goals and their non-recognition of our country and their failure to confront the crimes committed in the past are not changing, so I think we better be prepared for similar efforts in the future, which we must show that they will be a failure again,” said Kurti. /argumentum.al
