President Ilir Meta will return to the helm of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI). This was made public by current SMI head Monika Kryemadhi according to whom 2022 will be the year of the SMI, of young men and women in Albania.
During an event organized for the end-of-year holidays by the SMI, Kryemadhi said that this party is moving towards a new challenge, while adding that Meta lacks the opportunity to change the tainted reality of the political swamp of Albania.
“It has been a long time since we have met. We have some more tasks ahead of us, and I am convinced that today we are far fewer than we really are. Most of you today are those who have felt in every moment the difficulty of those moments that are very little of what happened. Time is what heals wounds and is the best medicine. We got to know each other more, with purity and love. Today this activity has been organized by a new team. The SMI is heading towards a new challenge. More commitments will be needed requiring new energy,” she said.
In addition she expressed the conviction that within very few months, the one who created the SMI will return to the party. “He too can not wait to come to you. He lacks your friendship, your enthusiasm. Your sincerity. He lacks the opportunity to change the polluted reality of the political quagmire where we were. So 2022 will be the year of the SMI. We must not forget that not only Ilir Meta, but all of us have invested in the SMI,” said Kryemadhi.
The presidential mandate of Meta ends in August 2022 but in the meantime it’s expected a ruling of the Constitutional Court on the decision of parliament to fire him. / Argumentum.al
