TIRANA, May 24 – Albanian government has decided to extend the period of stay of Ukrainian citizens in Albania country from 1 year to 2 years.
The decision was taken on Wednesday in compliance with the Constitution and the law “For foreigners” according to the proposal of the ministers of interior and foreign affairs, Ulsi Manja and Olta Xhacka, respectively.
Thus, the Council of Ministers decided to change point 1 of the previous decision of 2022 “On determining the term of entry and stay of citizens of Ukraine in the Republic of Albania” by changing the length of stay from one year to 2 years.
According to the 2022 decision, citizens of Ukraine had the right to enter and stay without a residence permit in Albania for a period of up to 1 year.
The Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs are in charge of implementing the decision.
The decision enters into force after publication in the “Official Gazette”. /argumentum.al
