TIRANA, January 10 – Interior Minister Bledi Çuçi held a meeting on Friday with the senior officials of the State Police at the central and local level.
The meeting was held after the general director of the State Police suspended all the local heads of Economic and Financial Crime in the Local Police Directorates until the new structure of the State Police came into force.
This decision was made due to the lack of efficiency of these structures and the failure to meet expectations in the fight against fiscal evasion, illegalities in the economic field, or the fight against corruption, said police sources.
Minister Çuçi gave strict orders to every local leader of the State Police for an uncompromising fight against the cultivation of cannabis. He confirmed the determination to support every structure in increasing preventive work and also consolidating the strike force against the cultivation of cannabis. /Argumentum.al
