In honor of the citizens of Kosovo, President Vjosa Osmani has decided that Monday, July 26, 2021, be declared a day of national mourning for the victims of the tragedy in Croatia.

Ten people died and more than 40 others were injured Sunday after a Kosovo-registered bus derailed on the highway near Slavonski Brod in Croatia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MFA) in Kosovo has said that the victims are compatriots who have been traveling on the regular Frankfurt-Pristina line.
In addition to the 10 dead, 44 people were injured, 15 of them in serious condition, the ministry said.
“The Government of the Republic of Kosovo will be committed to come to the aid of injured citizens and to assist their compatriots and family members for all necessary procedures,” said the announcement of Ministry.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti and other senior officials rushed to Croatia whose authorities have provided emergency services and have extended condolences to the families of the victims and the Kosovo people.
Condolences were also extended by all senior officials of Albania in separate messages published on social networks.
