TIRANA, September 17 – A truck with 300 kg of cannabis that passed from Albania was seized In Montenegro. Ilirjan and Kristi Orhani, father and son, drove the truck where the Montenegrin police found and seized about 300 kg of cannabis. The narcotics were divided into 180 packages, and were hidden in the truck loaded with boards and wooden pallets.
The verifications carried out by the customs authorities in Montenegro showed that the “Renault” type truck had come from Albania and had passed through the border point Bozhaj – Hani i Hoti.
Sources from the state police said that verifications are being carried out regarding the itinerary of the truck whose final destination was Austria, as well as to discover the place where the narcotics were loaded.
According to the Montenegrin authorities, the truck was stopped for inspection based on the risk analysis. The detainees are expected to be interrogated and then their security measures will be assessed.
