TIRANA – Ease in restrictions will bring more relief to citizens and businesses as the new exit timeframe extends to 9 pm during the weekdays with people moving freely without police permits even with their personal vehicles in Albania.
In a detailed timeframe which will start on May 18 as unveiled by PM Edi Rama on Sunday it is provided that bars and restaurants can reopen on Monday, and authorizations for the movement of pedestrians or vehicles are being lifted but the entrance or moving out a ‘red area’ is still prohibited. But the weekends will continue to be without cars across the country, according to Rama.
In the meantime TV studios will be allowed to invite more than one people in a panel on condition to respect a 2-meter distance.
In addition the 14-day measure for self-quarantine does not change and its violation is punishable by law and the Criminal Code, said the government head.
Regarding Fier region it is considered a ‘green area’ and according to this people can move without restrictions like in other areas of this kind starting from Monday.
“Following the lifting of all movement authorizations, the exposure towards the infection grows more and it is the responsibility of every individual to protect himself and the others,” said Rama who, in the meantime, said that special attention and care should be paid to elderly and sick persons who should self- limit exits in maximum because of the continued presence of the coronavirus in Albania. /argumentum.al
