TIRANA, December 1 – Ambassador Guido De Sanctis has assumed his duties as Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania.

OSCE Presence in Albania,
Joana Karapataqi in a statement released on Thursday
Ambassador De Sanctis is a career diplomat of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Prior to his assignment as Head of Presence, he was Deputy Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Moscow, said the press release.
From 2013 to 2017, De Sanctis served as Ambassador of Italy to Qatar and from 2011 to 2013 as Consul General of Italy in Benghazi, Lybia. He has also served at the Italian embassies in Tripoli, Berne and Kiev.
“I am happy to join the Presence in Albania and look forward to bring forward the exceptional relations between the Presence and the host country,” Ambassador De Sanctis said as quoted by the above statement. /Argumentum.al
