The fuel prices increased again in Albania according to a decision made by the Transparency Board convened on Wednesday. According to the new scheme, which will be in force from 23 to 25 March 2022, the wholesale price of the diesel by-product will be 227 ALL / liter, and the benzene by-product will be 208 ALL / liter. Meanwhile, the retail price of the diesel by-product of standard SSH EN 590 will be 233 ALL / liter.
On the other hand, the retail price of the gasoline by-product of standard SSH EN 228 will be 218 ALL / liter, while the retail price of the gas by-product will be 93 ALL / liter.
The Board estimates that these prices reflect the changes that have taken place in international markets. The next meeting of the Board will be on Friday in order to set the new prices in line with the changes of the prices in international markets.
Every wholesale and retail operator of petroleum by-products is obliged to implement the decision of the Board regarding the wholesale and retail prices. Law enforcement agencies will monitor the implementation of Board’s decisions on a daily basis, and in case of violations found by different operators, the penalties defined in the Normative Act will be applied. /Argumentum.al
