TIRANA, June 22 – The EU mediators of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue held separate bilateral meetings on Thursday, first with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and later with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
The President of Serbia, Vucic, has said that he could not confirm that “there is any guide” for the exit from the crisis in the north of Kosovo.
He made these comments after the bilateral meeting with the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue mediators.
“We discussed the matter, the substance, which was inevitable, but I believe also useful, but what we will see tomorrow on the ground, I don’t know…when we have trucks waiting…,” he said, referring to the traffic jam of trucks with Serbian goods on the border with Kosovo, according to Express.
Regarding the solution to the situation in Kosovo, Vucic said that he is afraid that “everything has gone too far”.
As reported by Radio Free Europe, Borell and Lajçak met for the second time with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Kurti on Thursday.
So far, no joint meeting between Kurti and Vucic has taken place.
Earlier, Borell had written on Twitter that “constructive ideas and willingness to compromise are what are needed to address the ongoing crisis in the north of Kosovo”.
“The parties are expected to reduce tensions and fulfill their obligations, without preconditions,” wrote Borrell on the Twitter social network after the meeting with the head of the Kosovar government, and at the start of the meeting with the Serbian leader. /argumentum.al
