The Government of Kosovo has reacted to the vaccination of Serbian citizens in the north of Kosovo that started on Saturday organized by the Government of Serbia. The government says that neither they nor the Border Police have information about the import of these vaccines to Kosovo, according to gazeta express on Sunday.
“Based on the information from the Customs and the Border Police, there is no data that anti-Covid-19 vaccines have entered Kosovo and were distributed to citizens in the north of the country in an official-legal way. If these vaccines have entered Kosovo through illegal channels, then the institutions of Kosovo will take the necessary legal measures against the persons involved in this illegal activity, smuggling,” the government said.
“Kosovo institutions have not had any official communication with institutions of Serbia regarding this issue, neither directly through the Liaison Offices of both countries nor with the mediation of the international community. Every medical product that enters the Republic of Kosovo must be subject to import rules, whether donation or regular import, must be allowed by the Kosovo Agency for Medical Products and Equipment. If a product does not follow this regular procedure, it is considered an illegal product, while the competent bodies take the necessary legal actions,” said the statement of Kosovo government.
