TIRANA, September 29 – The depopulation in Albania is an alarming phenomenon the member of the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP), Çlirim Gjata has said.In a statement to the media on Thursday, Gjata said that “for many Albanians, their country is not safe to live in.
Upon this conclusion, the British Home Office has decided to overturn a previous decision, according to which Albanian immigrants who landed on the British islands would be deported.”According to him, the British press echoed a Home Office study a few weeks ago, according to which 6 out of 10 immigrants who crossed the English Channel in boats and dinghies were Albanians.
“These alarming figures, which are part of the country’s dramatic depopulation, as well as the decision of the Home Office to consider Albanian immigrants as coming from an unsafe country, are another signal that the world gives to (PM) Edi Rama and his government,” he said.Gjata added that the Democratic Party has repeated and reiterates the alarm of depopulation, which does not happen for the reason Rama claims according to which people leave because they like it, but because living in Albania has become impossible. /Argumentum.al
