TIRANA, February 16 – Even Thursday unveiled the same scenario for the DP- led opposition battle outside and inside the Assembly and again the deputies expelled from the Democratic Party (DP) were not allowed to participate in its deliberations, They requested the meeting of the bureau to appeal the decision of the Ethics Commission.
“This appeal immediately forces the Assembly to suspend the decision and until the review by the Bureau deputies have full rights to participate in all sessions,” said Bylykbashi. But their request was rejected, causing tension in the hall.
“It is not allowed to occupy the rostrum, please,” appealed Felaj, who chaired the plenary session instead of Speaker Lindita Nikolla.
The absence of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama in the session increased the tensions even more, costing MP Spaho the exclusion from the plenary session. PM Rama came later to the Assembly.
A request for exemption from the plenary session and the committees was also made against the two MPs, Elda Hoti and Sorina Koti. In addition to the debate motion, the Democrats also requested the establishment of the Investigative Commission for what they call the McGonigal affair.
After the tensions of chaos in the hall, the majority decided that they will hold the motion with debates with the Prime Minister requested by the opposition on March 2. The Assembly’s decision found DP chairman Sali Berisha in protest, who did not hesitate to give a message to the Prime Minister. “Let’s swear here in the name of all those we represent, that if that motion was not made in the parliament, it will be made in Surrel (premier’s residence), peacefully,” said Berisha.
After the peaceful protest in front of the Parliament, Sali Berisha said that the battle will be continued for the removal of Edi Rama and his government on March 3 with the citizens in the square.
“The revolution continues! The national protest is on March 3 in which all Albanians unite against this regime which is stealing without distinction”, said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
