TIRANA, April 13 – The OSCE presence in Albania looks forward to a peaceful and open campaign where the political competition is carried out in a constructive and respectful manner in the 14 May local elections.
This was said in a statement released by the press office of the Presence in Tirana on Thursday as the electoral campaign for the local elections starts on Friday.
“An important step towards strengthening and consolidating Albania’s democracy on local level – much work to be done and we stand ready to work with you after 14 May,” noted the statement.
“For now, looking forward to a peaceful and open campaign where the political competition is carried out in a constructive and respectful manner, in line with national legislation, international standards and OSCE/ODIHR recommendations.
