TIRANA, September 28 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the increase of wages for police officers will be 15% and 7% according to the principle who receives less gets more support.
Rama said in a statement to the media after the government meeting on Wednesday that “I am here today, because the decisions we have made are important in the framework of resistance to inflation and our commitment to support all those who are most in need, but also to support those who are on line of duty,” said Rama.
For this reason, according to him, the government made the decision that the State Police, the lowest levels, all police officers at the level of inspectors, as well as the middle level, have a salary supplement. He revealed that the highest supplement is for the lowest level, the next supplement is for the middle level, respectively 15% and 7%”.
Likewise, Rama said, the same applies to the Guard of the Republic and there is a salary increase for the prison police and firefighters.
“The same applies to public administration and not only to civil service employees, but also to all support level employees. All these decisions come into effect immediately,” said Rama.
In the meantime he said that there was no change to the decision on the increase of the energy price for those households that exceed the limit of 800 kwh. According to the decision any kwh above the limit of 800 kwh will cost 42 lek. /Agumentum.al
