Albania will not be locked down because of the pandemic, Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced in an online communication with citizens saying that currently a second closure of the country in quarantine does not exist as a possibility.
He emphasized on Sunday that he does not have such a thing in mind, adding that the decision always depends on the figures.
As Rama said Albania has showed after the earthquake and the pandemic that everything which seemed impossible can be realized and the country is regaining what it lost and is recovering.
But, according to him, a second lockdown like the first would be very difficult for the Albanian economy, but not a fatal one.
He further appealed to citizens not to play with fire and do their duty against COVID-19 for the government not to be forced to impose a second lockdown as in the last March. /argumentum.al
