TIRANA, October 16 – Prime Minister Edi Rama informed that the ALBANIA 1 and ALBANIA 2 satellites are ready to be launched into space from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
Rama said that these are two super-technological eyes that will monitor Albania from the heights, with high precision and complete image clarity up to 75 cm2.
“Albania will have exclusive use of them for the processing of Geospatial Information (GIS) as well as the provision of imaging products and its other components, of a number of institutions and subjects, public or private whose work is related to the territory, waters , forests, fires, urban waste, agricultural production, urban development, property titles, and so on,” he said.
Earlier, Rama said that Albania entered another era in terms of law enforcement, the fight against corruption and the strengthening of the state due to the launch of satellites.
According to him, an important database will be created through the satellites and such a thing creates the possibility to make more analyses in the function of programming for the future. /Argumetum.al
