TIRANA, November 11 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the war in Gaza in the Peace Forum held in Paris through a post on X released on Saturday, emphasizing that the terror of Hamas must end.
Among other things, Rama said that he, like French President Emanuel Macron, has agreed that the international community should contribute to the immediate ceasefire.
“At the Paris Peace Forum, I had the opportunity to meet with a number of leaders and high-ranking officials. We all agreed that the conflict and the terrible suffering it is causing must in Gaza end,” said Rama.
In addition, he said that as dedicated members of NATO, we see a disturbing pattern, a vicious insistence to ignite conflicts and sow chaos in the northern hemisphere, including the Western Balkans. “These agents of chaos must be stopped and struck. Unfortunately, prolonging the suffering of civilians in Gaza only fuels the ambitions of Hamas and other agents of chaos.”
But Rama felt encouraged by the commitment of the host of the Peace Forum in Paris, President Macron, who launched a strong call for an immediate ceasefire on November 10. “I agree with President Macron’s assessment that the ceasefire is also in the interest of Israel. As a peaceful country with many religious beliefs and an energetic youth, the immediate end of civilian suffering of both the Palestinian and Israeli people and the achievement of lasting peace between these two nations is of strategic interest to Albania. I will continue to work on this together with other leaders and officials,” concluded Rama. /argumentum.al
