TIRANA, April 9- Prime Minister Edi Rama started his speech in the Congress of the Socialist Party (SP) on Saturday held in five panels with the consequences of the ‘war’ where he said that they had supported the pensioners, Albanian families and small business from the expensive bills of energy, but also with a package of social resistance.
“The package compensates over half a million Albanians for the sudden increase in prices, as well as for oil and public transport and for working on farms,” Rama said.
According to him, soon another price will be set for all those who consume electric energy far more than the broad mass of the people that are richer.
In the meantime Rama asked the authority of the serious crimes prosecution, SPAK, why it did not start the investigations against former PM Sali Berisha after the latter was declared non grata by the USA.
“SPAK has not yet been set in motion by the most serious statement that has been officially made in 30 years by Albania’s greatest ally, not for one man but for the whole of Albania, because he has led Albania. SPAK has an obligation that exceeds the citizen and his family being banned to enter the US,” said Rama.
Berisha has been declared non grata by the State Department which has been rejected by the Democrat veteran leader.
Regarding the arrest of former ministers accused of corruption Rama played the same tune holding no responsibility. “The responsibility is individual. They are responsible for how they react to the violators of the law for the collective relationship they have with the law. This responsibility bears the SP,” said the government head.
Prime Minister Rama asked the Congress to add three more secretaries. In a vote in Congress, 61 heads of SP branches in the districts were fired. /Argumentum.al
