TIRANA – “Stop cursing and threatening, and please do not say that the agreement was broken, because it was made with you and for you, not for us!”
This was the ‘friendly’ piece of advice that Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed to the head of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha through a post on social networks regarding his Friday’s statement.
“Today he (Edi Rama) has broken the June 5 agreement between the political forces whose achievement was made possible by the mediation of the EU, the US and Great Britain,” said Basha on Friday
In his tit-for-tat reaction Rama called on Basha and his party not to provoke the majority.
“We did not want and do not want a partisanship election administration, so do not provoke us as neither we nor the people owe them because you took everything you wanted,” said Rama, who added that opposition cannot take hostage the Assembly of electors to whom the opportunity will be given to vote for the deputy and not only for the party.
“So don’t incite us against the agreement we made for you, but let us vote for it,” Rama said in his post./argumentum.al
