TIRANA, April 23 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has expressed the belief that the Albanian economy can develop in a healthy way and bring a significant increase in well-being for people.
“I have never seen this with such optimism as today. I saw it with the feeling that we have to survive the blows. Today I see it with optimism, there is room for optimism,” said Rama, in a meeting with the business representatives in Elbasan on Sunday.
According to him, the tourism industry is a reason to smile for the country’s future. “At the end of the day, we will not produce rockets in Albania, but we will manage to transform God’s gift into a benefit for people. This is the Albania of the future but we need all these others, namely we need food, agro-processing, the increase of high-value agricultural exports, we need to export processed minerals.”
Further the PM said that if we get the great news that the discovery in Shpirag is ok, because the exploration has brought out what could be an unimaginable power from the financial point of view of Albania – oil and gas. “But the tests continue. If we get this too, we will talk about other things,” he said.
Likewise, Rama focused on the potential offered by the area of Dumre. “The rest is with Shell. In the course of these years towards 2030, we will have good news from that sector. This is a great blessing in today’s conditions of Europe and the world,” said Rama. /Argumentum.al
