Prime Minister Edi Rama was on Friday afternoon present at the inauguration of new houses in Thumana, rebuilt after the earthquake of November two years ago. During his speech, he did not spare the ironies with the situation in the opposition Democratic Party (DP) saying that they should be careful with the locks of the houses and that even when he leaves power, the houses will not be taken away from them.
Rama further said that most of the houses were rebuilt from the state budget fund and not from donations. “It may seem strange now but it is less strange when we promised complete reconstruction. Thumana is part of a space where a great work of this decade will be spread that will start soon within this mandate. I hope it will happen soon in 2023, which is the Blue Corridor. It is a necessary work as the current path no longer holds. It is with all repairs an axis that can no longer withstand the flow on it. This will be the largest national work built in Albania, passing the whole country. Today we have a balance sheet with the reconstruction where the Albanian government has taken on the biggest burden,” he said.
Making fun of what is happening in Democratic Party headquarters with door locks between supporters of Lulzim Basha and Sali Berisha the PM told the owners of the new houses that of course you have to be careful with the locks because it’s not known what will happen.
“Even if after a few years of things change, they can not take your houses. Life is long but I will not live as long as the eagles,” PM said. / Argumentum.al
