TIRANA, August 1 – Work is underway on the new harbor with a floating platform, suitable for mooring boats at the entrance to the city of Shkodra near the Old Bridge of Buna.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on Tuesday on social networks pictures from this construction site, announcing that the new harbor will enrich Shkodra’s tourist offer.
“Its construction brings for the first time a new navigable opportunity, enriching the tourist offer and promoting business in the area,” said the government head.
The harbor will have dimensions of 60 by 20 meters and a floating platform of 59 by 4 meters, which is very suitable for moored boats.
The infrastructure built by the harbor project in Shkodra is a step in the right direction towards a lake filled with boats, ferries and canoes, always respecting the unique environmental values of the lake.
The construction of three harbors in Shkodra as well as the border connection by navigation and road with the villages on the shore of the lake in Montenegro will create a new perspective for tourism in this northern area of Albania. /argumentum.al
