TIRANA, February 20 – Prime Minister Edi Rama will pay an official visit to Tokyo, Japan, from February 21 to 25, in the framework of the 42nd anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
This was announced by the press office of the Prime Minister on Monday, saying that Prime Minister Rama will hold a series of meetings in the framework of strengthening and deepening cooperation during the official visit to Tokyo. Everything will be a reaffirmation of the friendship between the two countries, as well as an expression of the mutual commitment to the further development of cooperation in the bilateral and multilateral sphere in facing challenges together as friends and allies which share the same values.
Rama will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, and will participate together with the accompanying delegation in the dinner hosted by him.
“The two countries share common interests regarding health and social care, disaster prevention, and environmental protection. Albania and Japan share the will to further develop common interests, increasing cultural exchanges, especially in the field of tourism and deepening economic and commercial cooperation,” the press release said.
The year 2022 marked the 100th anniversary of friendly relations between Albania and Japan. /Argumentum.al
