TIRANA, February 28 – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday called the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on the normalization of relations a historic moment.
Through a reaction on social networks, Rama said that “peace and cooperation are the key to the future that we owe to our children in this region destroyed for centuries by the lack of peace and cooperation.”
“I welcome the consent of the two parties for the Agreement on the Normalization Path between Kosovo and Serbia. This is an important historical moment for regional peace and I strongly urge all parties involved to continue working for a speedy implementation,” said Rama.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Albania is and will remain a firm believer in peace and cooperation and an example to be followed.
“We fully support any effort to overcome the past,” he added.
“I wish that no one accuses Albin Kurti of betrayal or forgetfulness, but that everyone understands that today’s Prime Minister of Kosovo has done the right thing, taking a very important first step towards getting out of yesterday’s trap. May other steps follow without wasting time,” said the PM. /Argumentum.al
