Albanians and Americans have something in common at these particular difficult times which is that they are banned to enter Europe, has said Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Rama made that comment during his remarks at a ceremony for signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Economic Cooperation by visiting US Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, and the Albanian Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj on Saturday.
“We have been used to this, but the fact that we have you together with us, who are not allowed to go to Europe because they are worried that we will take COVID to them, and it is a great pleasure to meet in Tirana,” said Rama.
Further on he said that time will tell that this is the right place to be together and there is no more beautiful place than this one in the middle of Europe.
“So I hope that you feel and see this yourself, as I am convinced that the ambassador who feels and watches it every day does not suffer at all this isolation from Europe here in the middle of Albania,” said Rama full of irony towards EU.
