TIRANA, March 28 – The police and the prosecution still do not have any suspects or detained persons for the gun attack on Top Channel TV where the security guard, Pal Kola, 60, was killed. After the attack on Sunday night, the Police accompanied the ex-son-in-law of the victim, but he was released again as he was not related to the event. The police authorities have also set a reward of 100,000 euros for anyone who provides information that will lead to the clarification of this event.
The tracks that are being investigated are some that have not been made public officially, despite the various assumptions. It is mentioned that the Hoxha family, owner of Top Channel, sold 100% of the shares to a company registered in the tax haven. While other tracks are directly related to the activity of this television, such as the denunciations made by Top Channel related to illegal activities by certain groups of individuals or criminal groups, which have been the focus of investigative shows.
Details of the probe reveal that the “Range Rover” type vehicle used in the attack was stolen by as yet unidentified persons on July 10, 2020 in the village of Tale, Lezha, northern Albania.
Regarding the incident, the Police accompanied Roberto Papçi, who turns out to be the ex-son-in-law of the 60-year-old, and his friend Agustin Tonaj. They were detained in Vlora and escorted after giving conflicting answers regarding the destination and then they were taken to the Tirana Police where they proved that they had nothing to do with the incident. Afterwards, the Police released them.
One of the reasons why they were interrogated was because during the period that Papçi and Pal Kola’s daughter were divorced, there were conflicts over custody of the children. /argumentum.al
