TIRANA, June 5 – While the newly elected head of state Bajram Begaj started his meetings with a conversation with the former president, Alfred Moisiu on Sunday the presidency was engaged to ‘clarify’ the attacks of the former PM, Sali Berisha that the signing of the decree on the release from the military duty could have done from anywhere out of Albania.
Berisha said on Saturday that the signing of the decree for the dismissal of the Chief of General Staff, Bajram Begaj that Meta did from Istanbul is unconstitutional after it was carried out outside the territory of Albania.
Through a press release, Meta’s spokesman Tedi Blushi explained that the Presidential Decree was drafted in Tirana, written in Tirana, registered in Tirana and forwarded to the President to be signed as an act in Turkey. According to Blush, the adoption of a Presidential decree as a form of expression of will can be done anywhere.
“The form, content and extremes of the decree of the President of the Republic do not change, regardless of the place where the will was made public and this act was signed,” said Blushi.
“Constitution the first!”wrote Blushi, which also serves as an appeal to put aside the clashes for political gains in the process of electing the Head of State. /Argumentum.al
