TIRANA, April 18 – “Croatia remains a very good example for Albania and all the countries of the region,” declared President Bajram Begaj, who received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman on Tuesday.
Radman is on an official visit to Albania during which he held meetings with the highest state and government leaders of the country.
Referring to the very good and traditionally friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries, President Begaj welcomed Croatia’s entry into the Schengen area and the Eurozone.
President Begaj touched upon the cooperation within the European integration process of Albania and expressed his gratitude for the support that Croatia has always given to Albania in this regard.
Begaj also appreciated the very close cooperation within the regional cooperation, underlining that the role of Croatia for the security, stability and development of the region is very important.
The two interlocutors discussed the negative effects produced for the Western Balkan region by Russian military aggression in Ukraine, as well as the need for closer coordination and cooperation in this regard to minimize the intervention of malicious third actors.
Croatia’s top diplomat met also with foreign minister Olta Xhacka and in the joint statement to the media, she said that “we had the opportunity to closely discuss how we can further expand and deepen the relations between our countries, whether in terms of bilateral cooperation, either in terms of regional or international levels.” /Argumentum.al
