TIRANA, April 9-President Ilir Meta said in an urgent press conference that Erion Veliaj’s accusations of blocking the decreeing of ambassadors are an ordinary lie.
The head of state states that he has not blocked any appointment of the ambassadors, while adding that the facts are the official documents.
“The bird of Tirana (Veliaj) is lying even when he is sleep. I have not blocked any official proposal for the appointment of an ambassador. The facts are the official documents,” Meta said.
We recall that earlier today Veliaj said that the decrees are blocked, the ambassadors are blocked.
“As a representative of the city, as a mayor, it strikes me to be a lot in international forums and many people say: Is there something wrong with Albania, that ambassadors are still in office for 6, 7, 8 years?
The fact that such deadlocks have been created does not help the country,” Veliaj said earlier.
