TIRANA, November 2 – The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani met with the US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier on Thursday. In this meeting, the latest developments in Kosovo and other topics of common interest were discussed.
Osmani emphasized that the proposal for the draft statute of the Association should be subject to review by the Constitutional Court.
“The meeting also discussed the latest news from the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia, and President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo has consistently shown itself to be a constructive party, while Serbia continues with the selective approach that prevents the full implementation of the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex,” announced the Presidency.
Osmani has once again underlined the importance of close cooperation with the US to achieve progress in the dialogue process.
In another event, President Osmani accepted on Thursday the credentials from the new ambassador of the Republic of Albania, Petrit Malaj, whom she congratulated on his position and expressed the hope that during his mandate the bilateral relations between the two sister states will be further intensified.
According to President Osmani, cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, especially in the unification of foreign policy, remains a priority. “Continuous strengthening of diplomatic coordination is in the interest not only of our countries, but also of the region as a whole,” President Osmani said. /argumentum.al
