President Ilir Meta has stated that Albania has the highest fiscal burden and lower public revenues compared to other countries in the Western Balkans.
In a Facebook post released on Friday the head of state stressed that the reason is because taxes are levied only on businesses that are not affiliated with the government.
“Businesses are not supported equally, so investors leave,” he said.
According to Meta, a good business climate means more new jobs, more investment and development. “Albania has the highest fiscal burden and lower public revenues, compared to countries in the region.”
President made the following appeal: “Strengthen the economy by fighting inequality, corruption and political clientelism! A good business climate means more jobs, more investment, more development. Help the business, to stop depopulation!” / argumentum.al
