President Ilir Meta has demanded that the government intervene in reducing the price of fuel and approve an economic package to help families in need.Meta made that statement against the background of skyrocketing prices a development which is being rejected by citizens with protests on Wednesday.
Greece approves 300-400 euro as economic aid package for low-income families, Meta said. According to him, such an initiative has been followed by North Macedonia, Kosovo and Croatia. But, according to Meta, Albania has undertaken zero economic package to help families and farmers. He urged the government to intervene in lowering the price of fuel and approve an economic package to help families in need. “Albania ZERO economic package to help families in need, farmers and small businesses and ZERO initiatives to reduce abusive prices of fuel, electricity and basket goods,” said the President.
