TIRANA, 6 December 2023- Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today that if Kosovo would accept his proposal for the Association, there would be better results.
Invited to a television studio, Rama said that we should never be linear because it is not strategic and in our interest, but we should be very flexible in trying to take the cause where we want.
“This happens only by managing to beat Serbia at the table, to impose mutual recognition of Kosovo on the table,” he said.
Rama emphasized that now that the proposal he made for the association has become a public fact, they realized that it would have been better if they had not excluded him categorically, but had taken it and read it, because they would have come out with a better result than this one.
“The association draft proposed by me was made public and it was clearly seen that it is a very positive draft for Kosovo. Even those who have proposed the next draft even say that in 2-3 elements it would be more positive if it were my draft. But the proposed draft is also very good. I hope they support, approve and leave the ball in Serbia’s court. Don’t hold the ball by yourself as they did”, said Rama.
