TIRANA, September 13 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has called the statements of the Democratic Party (DP) regarding the cyber attacks on the servers of the Albanian state accusations of negligence and laziness in the field of information.
In a post on Twitter, Rama noted on Tuesday that the “pleasure that breeds fiction” indicates “a despicable wickedness”.
In a statement to the media, DP spokesperson Floriana Garo accused the government of corruption in the field of cybernetics as well as incompetence and unpreparedness for defense in case of attacks.
“The pleasure that breeds so many fabrications, delusions and accusations about cyber attacks by an aggressor state in addition to deep ignorance in the field and great laziness for information speaks of a disgusting evil in relation to the country and the people of this country,” said Rama in his note.
In the meantime President Bajram Begaj after naming Iran as the cyber attacker against Albania, which led to the expulsion of the diplomatic mission of Iran in Tirana and the cut of the diplomatic relations, referred to a ‘third party’ involved in the dirty game of the cyber attacks in the Balkan region. Begaj did not name that country.
Reports have stressed that Montenegro continues to be under a massive cyber attack since August 20 accusing Russia of being behind it.
