TIRANA, October 23 – Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel, Yair Lapid, during his official visit to Israel on Sunday.
The head of the government said through a post on social networks that the focus of the meeting was the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of cyber security and defense.
Rama is accompanied by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj and the Minister of State for Youth and Children, Bora Muzhaqi during his visit to Israel. Rama is asking for the cyber expertise of Israel after the Iranian attacks against Albanian cybernetic systems.
Also, Rama discussed the cooperation in the field of economy and tourism with the Israeli counterpart.
“With the Prime Minister, Yair Lapid, for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of cyber security and defense, economy and tourism,” Rama wrote in a post on social networks.
Rama’s agenda of the visit includes meeting with the head of the National Cyber Directorate and leading Israeli companies in this field, as well as with President Isaac Herzog, Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu.
Rama also is attempting to organize a summit of Balkan prime ministers in Israel to strengthen their ties with the Jewish state in the fields of energy, agriculture, cybernetics, etc. /Argumentum.al
