TIRANA, May 2 – The Prime Minister, at the same time the leader of the Socialist Party (SP), Edi Rama was in a meeting with residents of Devolli, where he presented the SP candidate for mayor, Eduart Duro on Tuesday.
In his speech, Rama said that the opposition couple Berisha-Meta wants to take Albania hostage, because they are fighting for their problems.
“There is a very simple fact, 31 years since there have been local elections in Albania. They cannot show us a municipality, a municipality where they have done an exemplary job. There is one that they have had since 1992, Shkodra, and it is one of Albania’s greatest potentials, but unfortunately the municipality is the most backward in Albania,” said Rama.
The Prime Minister praised the growth of Albania’s role in the international arena, emphasizing its role in the UN Security Council, or in the leadership of the OSCE, but he referred to the undesirable politicians that the US has announced.
“How can we disobey our allies and partners and continue and vote and continue to trust someone who we’ve been told is undesirable?” How is this done? The US said it.
