TIRANA, June 20 – Prime Minister Edi Rama attended the launching of the book written by former Kosovo FM, Enver Hoxhaj in Pristina and took the opportunity to speak of the report published by the Russian Embassy in Albania, which said that 42 Albanians out of 150 who went on to the war front were killed in Ukraine fighting against Russian troops.
Rama criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for spreading false information about the participation of Albanian or Kosovar citizens in the war front in Ukraine.
“I was impressed from the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine that Putin and Lavrov mention Kosovo and Albania when it comes to fighters in Ukraine. The list of those killed by the international forces in Ukraine comes out and Lavrov does not talk about others but only Albanians and Kosovars, producing figures that are not based on anything, because we have no data or information about our citizens participating in this war.” said Rama.
Rama was in Pristina to attend the joint meeting between the governments of Albania and Kosovo which produced 19 bilateral agreements.
