The Democratic Party (DP) has accused the US Ambassador, Yuri Kim of violating the court ruling and ignoring the will of voters after meeting with Enkelejd Alibeaj on Tuesday.
The DP, already represented by the Re-establishment Commission, has reacted with a statement after Ambassador Kim’s meeting with Alibeaj, accusing him of repeatedly violating the Vienna Convention as a diplomat.
“Yuri Kim entered the Albanian Parliament today for a meeting with the leader of the DP parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj, but when she came out she announced him in a ridiculous and absurd way as chairman of the Democratic Party,” said the statement on Tuesday.
According to the Re-establishment Commission, Kim confirmed what she foresaw with other actions that she is in the service ofe the games of PM Edi Rama to weaken and hold the opposition hostage for as long as possible, commanding as chairman those who were rejected by a massive vote by the Democrats.
Many DP Deputies made remarks denouncing on Tuesday the act of Kim as a provocative move serving the majority. No US Ambassador has been whipped so hard like the current Washington’s top envoy to Tirana in Albanian diplomatic history because of her interfere in the internal affairs of Albania, particularly in the activity of political parties. Of course such a thing doesn’t serve the relationship between Albania and the US. /Argumentum.al
