TIRANA, August 3 – The Kosovo Police has announced that a coordination meeting was held with EULEX and KFOR on Thursday regarding the withdrawal of troops from the North.
A working meeting between the Kosovo Police, KFOR and Eulex to assess the security situation in the northern municipalities was held on Thursday in order to implement the agreements reached in Bratislava on July 10 between the EU and Kosovo, said the statement of the police.
“According to the joint assessment by the Kosovo Police, EULEX and KFOR, the security situation in and around the facilities of the northern municipalities is estimated to be good. As a result of this joint finding, the reduction of the members of the Kosovo Police by 25%, in and around the municipal facilities in the north starts from tomorrow,” said the statement.
Also, the Kosovo Police Forces together with EULEX and KFOR will continue coordination and will take the necessary measures to ensure a peaceful environment around the municipal facilities in the North of Kosovo. /argumentum.al
