TIRANA, May 25 – The two Russians and the Ukrainian arrested for espionage by the police in connection with some images, photos and videos taken at the former military plant in Gramsh, southern Albania, have been released, said prosecution sources on Thursday.
The two Russians, Mikhail Zorin and Zvetlana Timofeeva as well as the Ukrainian, Fedis Alpatov, who attacked with chemical spray the two Albanian soldiers at the weapons factory in Gramsh, as well as photographed the military facility, have been released by the court 9 months after their arrest.
The court of Elbasan has released from custody the two Russians, Svetlana Timofeeva and Mikhail Zorin as well as the Ukrainian, Fedir Alpatov, accused of the incident at the arms factory in Gramsh last year.
The judges decided that Zorin will be placed under house arrest, while the defendants, Svetlana Timofevaa and Fedir Alpatov will be free, but the prosecution has ordered the blocking of their passports.
The reason for the release at the request of the prosecution is the end of the detention period for them while the prosecution has not yet received the expertise related to the photographic and surveillance equipment with which the two Russians and a Ukrainian were detained near the Gramsh plant in August 2022. /argumentum.al
