TIRANA, July 2 – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was asked by journalists about the statement made by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who said that ‘Open Balkan’ has completed its mission and that now the Berlin Process is needed.
“The Berlin Process is our main axis. The ‘Open Balkans’ was an initiative born out of the need to push the ‘Berlin Process’ forward, and it has fulfilled the mission for which it was born,” said Rama a few days ago.
In this regard, Vucic said that he did not believe that Rama had said that the ‘Open Balkans’ is over, as according to him it is an autochthonous idea that belongs to the peoples of the Balkans.
“I’m not sure it’s exactly what he said, but hopefully I’ll be able to see him soon. The open Balkans is an autochthonous idea of the peoples of the Balkans, Serbian, Albanian, Macedonian, but it is also supported by a significant part of Bosniaks and people in Montenegro who are not Serbs,” said Vucic.
He said that he knew Rama well and that it was almost impossible for him to have said such a thing.
“I will always think that our idea, which was not imposed from outside, will be better, regardless of the content of our wishes,” said Vucic. /argumentum.al
