TIRANA, April 30 – The mayor of Shkodra, Bardh Spahia, held a meeting with the representative of the US Department of State, Jeffrey Ingram, and the representative of the Armed Forces of Albania, Colonel Altin Gjetaj, and on that occasion the agreement on the joint project in the field of security was signed.
“What we agreed on a few months ago has already taken shape and I am pleased that such a center will be present in the city of Shkodra,” said Spahia quoted by ATSH.
Shkodra Mayor Spahia said “that the cooperation in the military field between Albania and our strategic ally the US is a success story, quite intense and multi dimensional.”
The Mayor of Shkodra, Bardh Spahia represents the Democratic Party and is running for re-election as a candidate supported by the ‘Together We Win’ opposition coalition in the 14 May local elections. /argumentum.al
