TIRANA, September 20 – The State Police reacted to the incident that happened in Tirana on Wednesday evening, where an officer of special unity ‘Shqiponja’, Edlir Alleshi, was injured.
The police reported that the police officer was wounded by a gunshot during the pursuit of a person who was moving armed. The police clarified the incident by saying that in the “Kinostudio” neighborhood, on the “Hysen Xhurra” street, a patrol of the ‘Shqiponja’ unit was following a suspicious person after they received information that the latter was armed.
During the pursuit, the armed person opened fire in the direction of the “Shqiponja” Forces, and as a result one of the officers, Inspector Edlir Alleshi, was injured, who was immediately sent to the hospital for medical assistance. His condition so far appears to be stable.
In the meantime, “Shqiponja” Forces, General Patrols, and Special Operational Units have been put in pursuit of the author, and the entrances and exits of all roads of Tirana have been blocked to make it possible to arrest this citizen. /argumentum.al
